Growing up one of my family’s favorite snacks was a banana, spread with peanut butter paired with a glass of milk. To this day it is one of my comfort foods and favorite flavor combinations. So when I saw this banana peanut butter cake I was really excited to try it.
The actual cake layers were banana cake, the filling/frosting was whipped peanut butter and powdered sugar, with banana slices in between each layer.
It turned out so yummy. However, because of my strong love of bananas, when I make this cake again I am going to try to add more banana to the cake to give it a stronger flavor and cut the cake layers in half so I can add more banana between each one. But if you love bananas and peanut butter, this is the cake for you!
