Black swirls on white fondant

This cake was one I made shortly after my first one. I had never done anything like the black freehand swirling design, but I practiced drawing it over and over again and then I went for it, and my 16 yr old self (let’s be honest, and my current self) was very proud of how it turned out.

This was back in the day when fondant was much more popular than it is now. So the white is all fondant, with the black being buttercream swirls.

Isn’t it pretty? I need to get back into the freehand design again, it was a really fun cake to make.
